our approach

Build the Evidence

The field of Climate Robotics is relatively new. So the evidence base for the value-add of robotics in climate is necessarily thin. There are more questions than answers. We therefore seek to build the evidence base to better manage the range of opportunities, challenges and risks

Co-Create the Network

The range and depth of open questions in this space necessitate an open, collaborative, and collective approach. Roboticists are not climate experts, and climate experts are not roboticists. Besides, many more communities need to be at the table. We're co-creating and connecting a massively multi-disciplinary network to tackle these questions, build the evidence base, and enable meaningful and responsible applications of Climate Robotics.

Expand Locally-Led Action

As we grow the evidence and network, it'll become increasingly evident that foreign-led, top-down, and techno-centric approaches to Climate Tech are rarely sustainable, equitable, or effective. In fact, we already know this to be true; just look at the Humanitarian Tech space. We're thus expanding the space for locally-led action in climate robotics now rather than later.
